After discovering his neighbour had been diagnosed with Niemann-Pick Type C – a very rare genetic disease causes neurological decline which slowly shuts down the body’s critical functions – 17-year-old Carl Mason wanted to raise awareness. Hollie Carter was diagnosed with the disease in 2007 at just 2 years of age and is the inspiration for the short film Imagine that Carl subsequently created to provide some insight into the disease and its impact on sufferers and their families.
