Brisbane’s newest live music and entertainment venue is nearing completion, with The Fortitude Music Hall set to open on July 26 with a stellar line-up of artists on board for the official launch party.

Whilst the likes of Ball Park Music, DZ Deathrays and Tia Gostelow will feature prominently, the opening night party will also feature special appearances from local music luminaries such as Powderfinger’s a Bernard Fanning and Ian Haug, Custard’s Dave McCormack and Patience Hodgson from The Grates, along with Thelma Plum, Busby Marou, Jeremy Neale and Sahara Beck.

With a standing room capacity of 3000 (or 1100 seated),The Fortitude Music Hall will serve as a much-needed replacement to the iconic Festival Hall as a larger capacity inner-city venue catering to local and international artists. Located in the centre of Brunswick Street Mall close to transport and a host of other live music venues, this new facility from the team behind The Triffid will no doubt become the centrepiece of the Fortitude Valley entertainment precinct.

Artists already confirmed for shows in the months ahead include The Flaming Lips, The National, Grinspoon, Birds of Tokyo, Hermitude and The Jungle Giants.
