Big Sound is Here

The annual Big Sound Music Conference and the accompanying Big Sound Live schedule of events get underway in Brisbane today, with two massive days (and nights) for musicians, industry representatives and music fans. Big Sound will feature conference sessions, seminars and keynote presentations from industry experts from Australia and overseas, while Big Sound Live has a massive line-up of live performances scheduled from more than 100 local, national and international artists.

Several venues staged unofficial pre-Big Sound events last night, with the likes of Black Bear Lodge, The Flying Cock, The Zoo and The Bearded Lady amongst those with live music on offer. The Unofficial Option Party presented by Footstomp Music at The Bearded Lady was my event of choice last night and it was the quirky Bree De Rome who got things started, with Todd Sibbin, Fieu and the fabulous Amy Shark completing the line-up in a great precursor to what lies ahead for music fans over the next few days.

The number of events to choose from during Big Sound Live is massive, so to find out who is playing at which of the 14 host venues throughout Fortitude Valley over the next two nights, check out the full schedule here on the Big Sound website.
