Want to see a selection of award winning short films from festivals around the globe? If so, The Flying Cock in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley is where you need to be on Saturday night (August 23). In conjunction with Valley Fiesta celebrations, The Flying Cock will host the Future Shorts Film Festival from 5:00pm on Saturday evening.
Operating since 2003 and claiming to be the biggest pop-up film festival in the world, the Future Shorts Film Festival features short films from international festivals such as Cannes and Sundance, touring to more than 90 countries with screenings in venues as diverse as cinemas, concert halls, caves, libraries, village halls, universities, cafes, warehouses and music festivals.
General admission for the festival screening is $20, which includes a drink upon entry. For an additional $20 you can make a selection from the food menu and for $10 more you can secure yourself a bean bag in prime position.
The screenings will be followed by live music from Foxy/Moron, Universe Returns and Christopher Brooks. For event information, click here.
