Given the proliferation of young people suffering from Depression and anxiety in Australia today, thank goodness there are organisations such as Headspace to provide assistance, information, advice and support.

With education authorities unable (or unwilling) to provide the necessary support structures within schools, groups such as Headspace are a vital resource for young people struggling with depression, anxiety, bullying or harassment, the pressures of school, financial difficulties, relationships or struggles with drugs or alcohol. Headspace is a place where young people can discuss all of these issues and get the help they need.

Headspace

With a primary focus on mental health, Headspace is an organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of young Australians. There are often stigmas and cynicism surrounding mental illness and it is very important that young people have access to support services and assistance.

Headspace has offices right around Australia and also provide an array of online services that enable young people, parents, carers and professionals who work with young people to access valuable advice and information.
