The first line-up announcement for the 2014 Valley Fiesta has been revealed, with Dan Sultan headlining the annual street party in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. Adelaide based rapper Allday and Triple J Unearthed winner Remi have also been confirmed, along with Georgia Porter and Band of Frequencies.
Taking place over two days on Saturday/Sunday August 23 and 24, the Valley Fiesta is a free all-ages event across multiple stages. In addition to the main stage action, the Valley Mall stage will host the Queensland Music Awards Showcase featuring Jeremy Neale.
Electronic artists and DJ’s including Motez, Sampology, Safia, Basenji, Jordan Rakei and Young Franco have also been announced.
Other events announced include the Chinatown Chow Down, Red Bull Crate Diggers and Music Market and the Valley Swap Shoppe and Brisbane’s Biggest Outdoor Karaoke Bar, while the Sunday as One program on the Chinatown Mall Stage will celebrate Brisbane’s LBTGI community.
