Friday night (June 20) saw the launch of the Seed Project for 2014 on the Melbourne St Green at QPAC, with some of Brisbane’s most talented up and coming musicians performing for an appreciative crowd.
Taylor Moss got proceedings underway, with Tinker, Essie, Jackson James Smith and David Baker also featuring on the bill. Most of the performances were excellent and the future of Queensland’s music scene seems very bright indeed. In addition to the great music on offer, the atmosphere and surrounds ensured a casual, relaxed vibe on a balmy Brisbane evening.
An initiative of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, The Seed Project presents FREE performances from 5:30pm every Friday evening. Each concert will feature a new line-up of talented and emerging artists drawn from the Conservatorium’s Bachelor of Popular Music program.
The Seed Project will continue to bring free live original music to Friday nights for the next 9 weeks. The line-up this week includes Josh Lovegrove, Talltails and The Brodie Graham Band.
