Instagram Short Film

French art director Thomas Jullien compiled 852 Instagram photos to make this terrific stop-motion short film. The transitions from frame to frame are incredibly well executed, stitching the photos together into a film that includes visits to Paris, Sydney and New York, along with a variety of other cool imagery.

Jullien declares that, “Instagram is an incredible resource for all kinds of images. I wanted to create structure out of this chaos. The result is a crowd source short-film that shows the endless possibilities of social media. The video consists of 852 different pictures, from 852 different Instagram users.”

Projects such as this realise the untapped potential of social media as a tool for communication, creativity, entertainment and simply documenting the world around us.
