This weekend (November 8 to 10), geeks and nerds will be invading Brisbane’s RNA showground en masse for the annual pop culture orgy that is Supanova. This year there is a large representation of stars from Game of Thrones in attendance, including Lena Headey (Cersei Lanister), Mark Addy (Robert Baratheon), Michelle Fairley (Caitlyn Stark) and Jerome Flynn (Bronn), along with the man himself, Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin.

There will, of course, also be a bevy of stars from the world of comics, super heroes, fantasy and science-fiction, including Dominic Monaghan (Lord of the Rings, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, ) and event regular Summer Glau (Firefly/Serenity, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse).

There will are also heaps of photo and autograph sessions scheduled which, it must be said, are quite expensive at times, so you will need to plan, prioritise and budget accordingly. There will be over 100 exhibitors of all things geek, from memorabilia and collectables to books and gaming. There will also be Cosplay competitions and various seminars over the course of the weekend.

Proceedings kick off on Friday afternoon from 1:00pm to 7:00pm and continues between 10:00am and 6:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Pre-paid General admission tickets are $23.50 (Friday) and $27.50 (Saturday/Sunday) from Moshtix.
